Viewsonic Panels - Disabling Windows Ink

What Is Windows Ink?

Windows Ink is a set of applications and features (such as screen sketch, sticky notes, and sketchpad) in Windows 10 that assists with pen computing. Windows 11 introduced a new Ink Workspace panel, and an upgrade to Digital Ink allowed Windows users to write anywhere on the Windows desktop. For Windows users, this is a very nice set of digital tools.

Has one end (perhaps the thin tip) of your pen stopped writing on macOS?

What’s good for the goose isn’t always what’s good for the Apple. According to ViewSonic support,

We have encountered this behavior in the past and this situation may be related to the Windows Ink setting found on the display. This setting adjusts how the display interacts with the different size pen tips to allow for calligraphy usage. In this case, disabling it will allow the smaller side of the pen to be detected properly.

On your Viewsonic Panel, Navigate to the ViewBoard Settings > Preference > Touch > Disable Windows Ink and reboot the IFP.
